Lobby drawings you can run at intermission
An arts organization already has the two things a raffle needs: a captive audience and a fifteen-minute break. What it usually lacks is a way to collect entries in a crowded lobby without a volunteer and a cash box.
Free for up to 100 entrants. No subscriptions.
What usually goes wrong
-
The lobby is chaos at intermission
A QR code on the programme and a sign at the bar collects entries without anyone queueing. People enter while they wait for a drink.
-
A season is many performances
Run one drawing across a whole run, or a separate one per night. Either way each raffle keeps its own entry list and results after it closes.
-
Margins are thin
Arts budgets do not absorb platform fees. Free to 100 entrants, then a flat one-time $25 — never a percentage of what the drawing raised.
Three steps, start to finish
-
1
Code in the programme
Print the signup link in the programme and on lobby signage. Patrons enter from their seats.
-
2
Draw from the stage
Announce it before the second act or at the curtain call, with the proof publishing as you say the name.
-
3
Send it to the mailing list
Share the results link in the next season email so subscribers who missed that night see the same record.
Every draw ships with its own proof
The winner and a SHA-256 hash of the draw publish together. Anyone can re-run the computation and confirm the same name comes out — no one has to take your word for it.

Arts & culture, specifically
- Can we collect entries during a performance run?
- Yes. Keep one raffle open across the whole run and draw on closing night, or run a separate drawing per performance. Both work; the first usually raises more because entries accumulate.
- Can patrons enter without a smartphone?
- Whoever is managing the raffle can add entrants manually, so a volunteer at the merchandise table can enter people on their behalf. Those entries join the same draw.
- Can we brand the signup page?
- Each raffle gets a public page with your title, description and featured image, so it reads as your production rather than a generic form.
- What does it cost?
- Free up to 100 entrants. Beyond that it is a one-time $25 for that raffle, unlocking unlimited entrants, CSV export, multiple winners, new signup alerts and payment reminder emails. No subscription, and never a share of the proceeds.
