It uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator rather than the ordinary one most pickers reach for, and it maps that to a name with rejection sampling so no entry gets a wider slice than any other. In practice that means the draw is as unbiased as the draw we run on our own servers.

Can I prove the draw was fair?

Not with this tool, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Because everything happens in your browser and nothing is recorded, there is no way for anyone else to tell whether you drew once or twenty times. If the result has to be trusted by other people, run it as a raffle instead — every Rafflebase draw publishes a proof anyone can re-check against a commitment made before entries opened.

Can one person be drawn twice?

No. Each winner is removed from the pool before the next is drawn, so drawing three winners gives you three different names. Repeated lines are ignored by default too, though you can turn that off if someone genuinely holds more than one entry and you want their extra chances to count.

Is there a limit on how many names I can paste?

Not a practical one. The draw happens on your own device, so the only limit is your browser. Lists of several thousand names are fine.

Do you see or store my list?

No. The names never leave your browser — there is no request to us carrying them, and nothing is written down anywhere. Closing the tab loses the list.
