Employee drawings with the favoritism question closed
The problem with a workplace drawing is never the randomness — it is that somebody always wonders whether the manager’s teammate had better odds. A public proof page settles it before anyone has to raise it.
Free for up to 100 entrants. No subscriptions.
What usually goes wrong
-
Someone always wonders
When a colleague wins the good prize twice, perception matters more than the mechanics. A cryptographic proof anyone on the team can check removes the doubt entirely.
-
Half the team is remote
A hat only works in one room. A signup link works for everyone on the call, and the draw is visible to all of them at the same moment.
-
HR wants a record
Every entry and action is timestamped, and the entrant list exports to CSV on an upgraded raffle, so there is something to file when a prize has tax or policy implications.
Three steps, start to finish
-
1
Import or share
Add the attendee list yourself, or drop the signup link into Slack and let people enter themselves.
-
2
Draw on the call
Share your screen at the all-hands and press draw. Everyone watches the same result appear.
-
3
Post the proof
Paste the results link in the channel. The people who couldn’t make the call see exactly what the room saw.
Every draw ships with its own proof
The winner and a SHA-256 hash of the draw publish together. Anyone can re-run the computation and confirm the same name comes out — no one has to take your word for it.

Workplace, specifically
- Can remote employees enter?
- Yes — that is the main reason teams move off a physical hat. Share the signup link in Slack or email and anyone can enter from anywhere. The results page is equally visible to everyone.
- Can we upload an attendee list instead?
- You can add entrants manually, which covers a list you already hold from an event registration or HR system. Exporting the final entrant list to CSV is part of the $25 upgrade.
- Can we draw more than one winner?
- Yes, with the one-time $25 upgrade on that raffle. You can set a separate prize for each winning position — useful for a first, second and third at an all-hands.
- Is a conference booth giveaway a good fit?
- Very. Put the signup link on a QR code at the booth, let visitors enter on their phones, and draw at the end of the day with a public results page you can email to everyone who entered.
